AllSync 4 Manual ➝ Tools

File-Lock Analyzer

This tool allows you to check which Windows process is blocking access to a file. The File-Lock Analyzer can be accessed via the AllSync menu bar under 'Tools' and is available starting from the AllSync Professional Edition.

Procedure

  1. Select a file using the '...' button.
  2. Click the Check button to identify the blocking process.
The following information is displayed about the blocking process:
  • Process name
  • Process ID
  • Full file path of the process

Notes

  • The blocking process is only identified if Error 32 or Error 33 occurs when opening the file.
  • If you see Error 5, the user account under which AllSync was started does not have sufficient access rights to open the file.
